Awaken online catharsis pdf download

The story is good, the reader did a very good job on the voices and the way the plot unfold and twists between the game and real life was fantastic. I have already bought the second one. Great all round concept and story, the best audiobook I have listened to in a good while. Takes a while to get into but eventually all comes good.

Best played at X 1. I found this a real struggle to engage with as well as finish. The start of the story was leading towards a classic underdog story, which I happen to quite enjoy. For me however the author tried too hard to be different and create something edgy and different. I find myself disliking the main character and the direction of this series.

This is a series for me that I just can't get into and I will not be continuing. The voice actor on the other hand sounds like a robot with no clear tone difference in characters and the pronunciation of trebuchet made me want to skip the whole chapter.

I was on the look out for a book like this, I really enjoy mmorpgs and also love reading works of fiction around the themes. Good book with intriguing characters.

The interaction between characters is excellent and feels genuine. The start was a bit off for me because the underdog trope was pushed down my throat. However, after continuing it was balanced out by character development.

This was a really enjoyable book overall. LitRPG isn't the most serious of genres so I like its books to be fun and this definitely hit the mark there. The main character was a bit meak but grew over time.

None of the other characters were too out there although I thought Frank, the MC's best friend, got shafted a bit. The book slows down a little in the middle before building up to a climactic ending followed by an overlong post-ending section which tied up loose ends. Other than the first couple of chapters which were a tad weak the book was good overall. The narration I did have a slight problem with. I think the narrator intentionally went for a meak and uninteresting vibe from the internal monologue but that did mean I struggled a bit to stay in the story until things picked up.

He also pronounced Trebuchet with a hard T at the end and this word got used enough in the last few chapters for that to really annoy me. Worth a credit but it is LitRPG so you should know what you're letting yourself in for. The story is really engaging and keeps you listening hour after hour. Having enjoyed Sword Art online, this was along a similar vein, the anti-hero aspect is a nice story mechanic and I found myself enjoying more of this than I thought.

While people discredit the voice actor, you might find the tone a little off putting, the story is worth the perseverance, and Druid really makes the story his own. I grew to enjoy the story more due to his efforts. I recommend this for anyone in search for a good storyline.

For the first hour or two of the story, I really struggled not to turn it off and give up. The narrator, although talented at narrated, was definitely not suited to this particular book. His strange voice makes it feel like a book for children or young teens, and he'd be much better suited to narrating stories in those genres.

However, after slowly getting used to the narration and pushing through it, I was pleased to find that the story finds its feet and starts to get good.

It's not amazing, nor does it push any boundaries, but it does manage to stay interesting enough to enjoy. There were a few elements that felt like overlooked plot-holes, but they aren't too irritating. The biggest irritation for me was the narrator's inability to pronounce the word "Trebuchets" correctly.

This wouldn't have been such a big issue if it weren't for the fact that the word appears at least 15 times in the final battle and he said it wrong every time. I'm surprised no one in production picked up on it. Honestly, I'd recommend the Noobtown series over this one, if only for the humour it delivers that this one lacks or does poorly when it does try , but that's not to say that this is bad either. I am planning to listen to the second story in the series.

Voice actor has little to no emotion and cannot pronounce trebuchet to save his life. A cool premise for sure. What a great book! I was very sceptical of the combination of RPG elements into a fantasy novel. I highly recommend this story for anyone new to the genre. The narrative is unique and engaging.

I found all elements of plot and characterisation to be smoothly handled and engaging. The only negative was the narration at the begining of the story. The narrator had a really boring voice and was reading very very slowly. This all improved over time as he produced some great character voices. I also came to find his smooth and calm narration very relaxing.

I could see this audiobook being something to help me sleep on flights Loved every minute of it. Will get the whole series! I was actually recommended this book by a friend of mine.

Tim McGough Jr. Awful Unless you are an angsty 12 year old who can literally not imagine anyone else as an actual person Will How is this rated so high?

Christopher Ramsdell Almost certainly written by a computer The writing is like bad teen fiction, the protagonist lives the dream life of every bullied kid. JKT Kate Greatly surprised and impressed As an avid MMO player I have tried to read other books of this type entering the virtual world if a game but they have for the most part seemed very one dimensional.

He approaches the questions of pain, suffering and death that confront the doctor daily and that the world regards as 'terrible, futile, and destructive. The origin of this book goes back to the fall of I was beginning my fourth year as an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Florida when I became depressed.

I went into psychotherapy, and after much emotional pain, learned to grieve for my handicapped son. While in therapy I read widely in hopes of understanding and helping myself; after my recovery, I continued my interest in psychotherapy at a professional level.

In , I attended a workshop by Albert Ellis on rational-emotive therapy and was impressed by his approach. I decided to study rational psychotherapy with Maxie Maltsby at the University of Kentucky.

After 4 months I returned to the Uni versity of Florida, teaching courses in the area of personality and beginning to write this book, which at that time was to be only about the rational approach to change. However, by early , I was depressed again. I returned to my original therapist, who had recently become interested in a variation of primal therapy.

I found this therapy very powerful and lengthy; 2 years later, I ended the ther apy, feeling fit, but unsure what to make of my experience. I still found the ideas in rational therapy useful, but was certain that cathartic approaches were also helpful. I returned to writing the book, this time seeking to explain how these two different approaches could both be therapeutic.

Catharsis is a journey of emotional transformation, from despair to hope. Each chapter delves into the deep psyche of the heart and explores our inner-most emotions. Through vivid metaphors and imagery, the reader is swept up in lyrical authenticity and emotional downpour. Catharsis: Expressions of the Soul is a book about just that! The poems are the expression of my soul. Everyone has a special talent that they use to reach others; mine is writing.

My soul is being shared with the world so people will know that they are not alone in their struggles. In many cases, we feel that we are the only ones in the world that suffer from heartbreak or headaches of life. This book will help you cope with every day issues that you come across. Just reading a poem may inspire you to follow a new direction along your journey. Very often, we engage in conversations with ourselves that allow us to empty what is at the very core of our being.

Sometimes, we cast them as cares in prayers to God. Amidst the internal baggage we carry, there is a wealth of thoughts, ideas and feelings that are worth their weight in gold to friends, family, and acquaintances and even to those who are poised to be blessed, simply because we cleared our minds. Catharsis is my personal excavation of piles of stuff I carry on the inside. I parceled them off in packages of poetry. Sift through the rubble, see what you find. There are poems of withdrawal, strength, courage, compassion, hope, love and freedom - poems of war and peace.

Each poem is a conversation with God that lightened my load and my life. Freedom for life and living is easily accessed after a period of Catharsis. Destroying human habitat and taking human lives, disasters, be they natural, man-made, or a combination, threaten large populations, even entire nations and societies.

They also disrupt the existing order and cause discontinuity in our sense of self and our perceptions of the world. To restore order, not only must human beings be rescued and affected areas rebuilt, but the reality of the catastrophe must also be transformed into narrative.

The essays in this collection examine representations of disaster in literature, film, and mass media in German and international contexts, exploring the nexus between disruption and recovery through narrative from the eighteenth century to the present.
